When you're planning a special event you're always looking for that special something that will make your party, or gathering, memorable.
In some cases it's the room decor. In other cases it may be entertainment. One of the easiest ways to set your party apart from all the rest is to offer your guests fun and unique catering options.
Think different! Below are a few examples of culinary options that have been known to garner attention.
1. Tie Dye Cupcakes: New York Fashion Week 2012 recently wrapped up and it seems that people could not get enough of famed designer Betsey Johnson's snacking options: Pink Tie Dye Cupcakes. The pastry was a great choice for Betsey's show as it was fun and youthful, just like her. Betsey chose the cupcakes because she felt like they resembled her signature pink, sparkly, puffy prom dresses.
2. Champagne Popsicles: A New York socialite recently threw a birthday party for one of their friends. At the stroke of midnight instead of passing out glasses of champagne, lollipop sized champagne popsicles were passed out on sticks that read "Happy Birthday." This was a unique and different way to introduce champagne into a party for a special occasion.
3. Shape Your Cake: This is especially easy for themed events like Bar Mitzvahs or birthday parties. If your party has a sailor theme, have a cake created in the shape of an anchor. Cakes can be created into any shape imaginable and can even have moving parts! It's a great way to impress your guests.
